CANNA CALMAG AGENT works to increase water hardness and provide the right amount of calcium and magnesium. By improving water hardness and pH, it helps maintain nutrient quality while stored in the reservoir. In doing so, our CALMAG improves water quality and prevents nutrient deficiencies, so your plants grow healthy and receive all the nutrients they need.

Let’s take a closer look at water

SOFT WATER

Low in calcium and magnesium.

IDEAL WATER

Moderately hard to hard water, containing appropriate calcium and magnesium levels and typically has an EC ~0.2-0.4.

VERY HARD WATER

High in calcium and magnesium.

BAD WATER

High in sodium, chlorine, heavy metals, harmful elements, or has a very high EC. Bad water is bad water, hard or soft.

SOFT WATER

Water that is naturally soft or has gone through reverse osmosis contains very little calcium and magnesium. CANNA CALMAG AGENT can be used to increase water hardness.

IDEAL WATER

This water is moderately hard to hard, contains an appropriate quantity of calcium and magnesium, and generally has an EC ~0.2-0.4. All CANNA products are designed to work best with this type of water. No need to use CANNA CALMAG AGENT.

VERY HARD WATER

To use very hard water, some growers use a reverse osmosis (R.O.) filter, which turns it to soft water. Use this R.O. treated water with CANNA CALMAG AGENT. Or, if your original water is free from contaminants, it can be mixed with your R.O. water till you reach an EC of 0.2-0.4.

BAD WATER

Water with high levels of sodium, chloride, or other harmful elements can block the uptake of nutrients or even be toxic to your plants. A reverse osmosis filter can be used to treat this water - make sure it's effective!

How to use CANNA CALMAG AGENT

  • Fill nutrient reservoir with water of room temperature (64-72 °F).
  • Add nutrients and additives to be used such as CANNA COCO, CANNABOOST, RHIZOTONIC, CANNAZYM, and PK13/14, mixing between each addition. Adjust your EC as needed. Make pH adjustments as needed.
  • Add 2 - 4 ml/gal (5 - 10 ml/10 liters) of CALMAG AGENT, depending on your water quality and target plant.
  • Wait 24-48 hours to do additional pH adjustments, because the solution naturally drops and then rises in pH during this time. Keep in mind that a stable pH is also temperature dependent.
